What is synthetic suede made of?
Synthetic suede, also known as faux suede or microsuede, is made from polyester or nylon fibers that are specially processed to have a soft, suede-like texture.
It is designed to mimic the look and feel of genuine suede leather, but without using animal hides. The fibers are tightly woven or knitted together and then brushed to create a surface that is similar to suede.
