What is imitation leather made out of?
Imitation leather, also known as faux leather or synthetic leather, is made out of a variety of materials.
The most common base material used for imitation leather is a fabric such as polyester or cotton, which is then coated with a layer of polyurethane (PU) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC). This coating gives the fabric a leather-like appearance and texture. Some variations of imitation leather may also incorporate other materials or additives to enhance durability, flexibility, or other desired characteristics.
